DYNASYSTEMS UNIVERSAL CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
DUCS Design
The Dynasystems Universal Construction System (DUCS) is a flexible building system which consists of a prefabricated framework allowing for rapid on-site assembly.
As a modular system, units can be used individually or combined to create more complex structures which provide solutions for a variety of requirements.
Structures include Watch Towers of varying height and Site Offices,

The expeditionary nature of the system allows for the construction of a fully protected structure within hours or days as opposed to normal construction practises that can take several months.
In comparison to conventional systems, the DUCS has a reduced logistical footprint, requires few resources for transport and is quick to assemble. Kits can be supplied ‘pre-assembled’ or in standard ISO containers for assembly in situ.
Planning considerations include ground type, operational environment, threat levels, customisation and the likelihood of reuse.
The DUCS systems has been designed, and deployed, with simplicity in mind.

DUCS Protection

The level of protection in DUCS is scalable, in accordance to operational requirements and changing threat levels, enabling structures to match the operational environment specifically.
The DUCS structure can be protected against the highest level of blast, ballistic and fragmentation threats - protecting occupants and equipment from direct fire threats, improvised explosive devices, chemical or manufacturing explosive events.
Tests and trials of Dynasystems products have been undertaken and documented by a number of international authorities including US Army Corps of Engineers, US TSWG, US Air Force Research Laboratories, Netherlands TNO, UK Ministry of Defence and British Army Corps of Engineers.

DUCS Protective Housing

As a Flexible, Modular Building System, DUCS modules can be used in a broad variety of locations and to meet a variety of requirements. From remote business operations (oil & gas, mining, adventure holiday’s) to expeditionary military operations that need either permanent or relocatable structures, there is a unique DUCS solution.
As a modular system, DUCS provides great flexibility in the planning stage – vastly simplifying logistics and construction costs. The basic module can be easily configured for a range of facilities – accommodations, offices, safe rooms, guard house, entry control point, watch tower, laboratory, secure storage, armoury, dispensary….to name but a few applications.
The DUCS ‘cube’ module is a skeleton structure that can be fitted with different combinations of access points, windows and roof structures. The walls of the cube can be infilled with a variety of materials to provide different levels of protection in accordance with the mission or accommodation requirements.
Advanced material science alongside energy absorbing technology enables any level of protection to be reached at a variety of budgets. Equally, the modules, once deployed, can be re-used to match changing operational, environmental or threat environments.

DUCS Guard & Watch Towers

The universal construction system can be assembled vertically to achieve protected or unprotected guard towers.
Unlike conventional precast guard towers, DUCS guard tower are containerised/palletised so that they can be easily transported and built on-site rapidly without specialist equipment.
The protection levels of each Tower can be designed to suit the nature of threat - from small arms to large artillery or improvised explosive devices. Complete protection of the towers extends to the doors and windows as well, which can be provided with blast and ballistic ratings.

The DUCS ‘cube’ is a basic module skeleton structure that can be infilled with several types of materials to provide different levels of protection in accordance with the mission requirement in the following scale:

-
Environmental protection panels create normal, rapidly deployed shelter structures to protect against water, wind, heat, cold and other environmental effects.
-
Ballistic protection panels – in addition to the above, provides protection against ballistic threats in accordance to STANAG levels.
-
Blast & Ballistic protection – the highest level of protection – will mitigate against very high level of blast threats.
DUCS Access Control Unit

The control unit system design adds integration of service units such as stairs, interior furniture and in-built conduits for data & power requirements.

The control unit can be integrated with the guard tower. The construction system provides flexibility to achieve required architectural finishes in the interiors and exteriors.
Air conditioning requirements are also available.

DUCS Low-Cost Housing
The system offers the ability to construct a variety of buildings to a set design in remote areas “straight from the crate” and with the maximum use of local materials and resources.
The flexibility of the entire system gives the end user a number of options that previously have not been available from a common structure – these include accommodation blocks, offices, safe rooms, guard houses, entry control points, secure storage, ablutions blocks, kitchens or dispensary units.
The structures can also be used in response to natural disasters where housing, storage or infrastructure is needed at short notice.
The materials used can be adapted to local requirements in relation to fire hazards and structural integrity.
